Exercise is very important to lead healthy life. People do many exercises like running, jogging, cycling and going to gymnasium to keep themselves fit and healthy.
In this fast paced world people don’t often find time and as a result some don’t do the exercises at all or do only for very short time period. The news is listening to music while doing exercises would make a person to exercise more. This has been confirmed by the researchers now.
It is interesting to mention here that music creates huge impact on the mood of the people and it releases energy boosting chemicals makes us feel good.
Many cardiovascular diseases affect us more these days and these exercises play huge role in preventing the heart based health issues affecting us and make us lead normal healthy lives.
It is now confirmed that not exercising along with high BP, high cholesterol plus obesity and smoking are responsible for many heart based issues.
USA based Texas Tech University Health Sciences is doing many research works and it is now clear that listening to music would help us to motivate to exercise more than before and this plays huge role in the healthy heart. This was confirmed by Mr Waseem Shami belonging to cardiology department of this above mentioned institute.
As many as 127 heart patients were selected by the research team and they were subjected to ECG treadmill stress test. These patients were divided into 2 groups and some were made to listen to up-tempo music during this test while others did these stress tests without music.
It is surprising to note that that exercise time period was longer in patients who listened to music while doing stress tests when compared to those who did tests without listening to music. The difference of about 50.6 seconds was found out.
The studies would be presented at the American College of Cardiology 67th Annual Scientific Session, Orlando, USA.
