The Chairman of the Registration Department has come up with some circulars which will help avoid some prevailing confusions in certain procedures.
The details:
New regulations will be adopted fro registering properties of up to 10 cents in rural (village) areas and up to 20 cents in urban areas.
In case the properties being registered are shown as agricultural lands, the registrar must carry out field inspection/survey, estimate and then register.
In case there are encumbrance certificates of the relevant land and neighbouring/surrounding lands and the usage details are available, these details and the registration details as per the encumbrance certificate must be mentioned in the registration.
In case a single document contains details of properties under different survey numbers is brought up for registration, as per the stipulated boundaries, the registrar will be the authority to decide the nature of property for lands up to 10 cents in rural/village areas and up to 20 cents in other areas.
The earlier documents showing registration as plots cannot be permitted to be changed to agricultural lands.
The registrars and the district registrars must acknowledge the receipt of this circular.
