The state government Department of Education has planned to conduct the counselling sessions regarding transfer of teachers in government schools during end of May.

The general counselling regarding the transfer of the teachers working in all the government or government-aided schools is conducted every year by the state government Department of Education.

The teachers who had worked continuously for one full academic year in any government or government-aided school are eligible to attend this counselling session for transfers.

Generally, this counselling session is conducted from the start to the end of May.

The transferred teachers will join duty in their new transferred schools when the new academic year starts in the respective schools.

The state government department of education has decided that in this coming new academic year, the counselling sessions will be conducted in a highly transparent manner online for all the schools right from the primary schools to the higher secondary schools.

The extensive data regarding the number of vacancies in all the schools district-wise is being collected in the online format for the above purpose.

In this scenario, the state department of education has decided to postpone this year’s annual transfer counselling session for the teachers to end of May.

As the public examination system for the +1 classes had been introduced this year, the task of correcting the answer-sheets is in progress done by the teachers. So, the correcting teachers cannot participate in the counselling session. So, the state school education department has reviewed whether the counselling session can be conducted in June after the task of correcting the answer-sheets of the +1 Public Examinations gets completed.

Thus, the officials have decided the counselling session for transfer of teachers may be conducted in May for the teachers in primary schools. An announcement regarding this is expected to be released shortly.
