Strong prospects of heavy rain in 4 districts in Tamil Nadu

The southwest monsoon rainy season has intensified in the coastal districts of the states of Kerala, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.

As there is a low-pressure zone formed over the northeast Bay of Bengal, there is heavy rain in the Northeastern states as well. In Tamil Nadu, there is heavy rain in the Western Ghat region adjacent to the states of Karnataka and Kerala.

There are prospects of rain in the districts of Coimbatore, Nilgiri, Dindigul, and Theni lying adjacent to the Western Ghat. In the other places, there are prospects of medium rain.

The Chennai Metro city will be cloudy. There are prospects of a strong land breeze blowing at 30 kmph. The Chennai Meteorological centre has informed that the maximum temperature would be 39 Degrees Celsius.
