Warning issued for prospects of heavy rain

Warning about the prospects of heavy rains has been issued to 5 districts in Tamil Nadu. Intense southwest monsoon rainy season rains are persistently pouring in the northern states. However, in Tamil Nadu, rain has been present in the areas adjacent to the Western Ghat mountain range.
The Chennai Metro City will remain generally cloudy today (Friday, 13th July).
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has warned that there are strong prospects of heavy rains in the districts lying by the Western Ghat mountain range – Nilgiri, Kovai, Theni, Dindigul, and Tirunelveli.
