The Thirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam Board (TTD) has announced that during the nearing Maha Kumbhabhishekam festival for 6 days in the Tirupathi temple, the devotees who make a direct visit to Tirupathi will have to wait in Vaikundam Waiting  Complex and will be allowed for Darshan.

A meeting of the Trustees of the Tirupathi Temple was recently conducted in Annamayya Bhavan presided by the president Bhutta Sudhakar Yadav.

After the meeting, Executive Ail Kumar Singhal explained that the opinions and suggestions were sought from the devotees for the Maha Samprokshanam Kumbhabhishekam festival scheduled to be celebrated for 6 days from 11th August to 16th August.

30% of the devotees who responded had suggested that the facility for online registration must be provided. 22% of the devotees responded that there should be no Darshan in this period and the earlier decision of TTD was ok. The balance devotees responded that the devotees making a direct visit to Tirupathi must be allowed for Darshan.

As per this last suggestion, the devotees will be allowed for Darshan as per the time period available via the Vaikundam Waiting Complex.

Other Darshans such as VIP Darshan, Darshan for the members of the trustees` board, Rs. 300 Darshan and the Divya Darshan for the devotees visiting the temple by climbing the mountain and Arjitha Seva tickets are all cancelled.

So, the official categorically informed that only those devotees visiting Tirupathi directly and via Vaikundam Waiting Complex will be allowed during the period of the Maha Samprokshanam Kumbhabhishekam.
