Chennai water and sewage charges deadline

Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) requested the people residing in Chennai to pay water and sewage charges on or before September 30, 2018. Those who consume the service of water supply and sewage system are entitled to pay the charge within the deadline or the government board will disconnect the water and sewage lines for the houses failing to pay within the specified time.
The board has already given prior due notice for all the consumers and so the residences going off the rule will face the disconnection for sure said the sources of CMWSSB. A penalty of 1.25% per month will be charged for the belated payments.
Consumers are advised to pay in area offices, depot office and also the head office at Chintadripet. The payment can also be made online through the website www.chennaimetrowater.tn.nic.in with debit and credit cards.
