To keep fit and healthy, obese persons must do these exercises without fail

In some persons excess body fat gets accumulated and this could create many health issues for them. This medical condition is termed as obesity. When BMI or body mass index is more than 30kg per square metres then the person is said to be obese. There are few factors that cause obesity in us and these are excess intake of foods, lack of physical activity, genetic susceptibility etc.

According to a report from WHO or World Health Organisation it is clear that India has got the third largest obese population. Study published in the international journal ‘Paediatric Obesity’ revealed that by the year 2025 India would have more than 17 million obese children. It is well known that obese persons suffer from many health issues like cardiovascular diseases, type-2 diabetes, osteoarthritis, depression etc. The obese people face lots of humiliation from others and it is important that they must do some exercises to keep their body fit and healthy.

These exercises must be done by the persons who are obese or having excess weight.

Cycling:

To burn calories at faster speeds no exercise is better than cycling. This cycling could be done by cycling machine or by using a cycle. By cycling toning of legs and thighs is possible as the fat build up is burned.

Walking:

Walking is one of the easy methods of losing excess weights and it does not need a lot of special efforts etc. By walking for one hour every day excess weight could be lost.

Jogging:

We have seen many people around us do this jogging. Jogging is not only good for obese people but also for other normal people. By jogging a person would be able to lose his/her weight at faster rate.

Strength training:

This is also one important exercise an obese person must do to be fit and healthy. By doing strength training posture could be corrected plus there are other benefits like increase in the range of motion in all the joints, building muscles etc. Metabolism of the body gets boosted.

Aerobics:

These days we often hear the word ‘Aerobics’. This aerobics is a physical exercise and here rhythmic aerobic exercise is combined with stretching and strength training routines. The main objective of aerobics is to improve all elements of fitness like flexibility, muscle strength and cardiovascular strength etc. Aerobics should be done by the people who are obese. In aerobics calories are burnt by bringing the body into movement.
