A lawsuit has been slapped on the world’s leading beer maker Anheuser-Busch. Nina Giampaoili and John Elbert of California claim that the manufacturers add more water to the beer before packaging bringing down the alcohol content. The percentage of alcohol in the bottle is lower than that advertised on the label, they said.
‘We learned about the mislabeling from a number of former employees of AB (Anheuser-Busch) at breweries throughout the United States’, John Boxer, one of the attorneys said. ‘And some high-level guys at the brewery level all told us that as a matter of AB corporate policy, these target brands are watered down.’
The brands in question are under the Budweiser label.
