The airfare for the flights leaving Chennai to other major destinations went up to heights owing to Christmas and New Year holidays. The increased airfare suddenly dropped down after IndiGo and Australia Tourism announced offer prices for many flights. IndiGo providing exciting discounts while Australia tourism partnered up with Singapore airlines, Air India, AirAsia, Jet Airways, Malaysia Airlines and Quantas to offer low airfares to Australia and other South east Asian destinations.
The offers from these two airlines reduced the overall airfare for many flights from Chennai to other major cities of India. IndiGo announced the offer with the tag of five-day winter sale with tickets starting at Rs 899. The starting ticket airfare for travel is marked for the dates between December 6, 2018, and April 15, 2019. The sale will be continued till November 25. More than 10 lakh seats are offered in this low cost carrier.
The offers has brought down prices of air tickets from Chennai to Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and other important cities of India by Rs 2000 as a winter sale for the last week of December. Chennai to Delhi airfare is higher than normal rates and the recent offer storm has stabilized the prices. The offer schemes has also reduced airfares for some of the international travel zones also informed some of the air travel booking agents.
The price of air ticket to Australis falls between the ranges of Rs 25,000 and Rs 51,000 along with lower return flight airfares from Southeast Asian destinations such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.
