Bank Employees to go on strike protesting against the merger of 3 banks

The Federation of all Bank employees; Unions/Associations has informed that the bank employees plan to go on strike on 26th December as a protest against the proposed merger of 3 banks.
The federation has objected to the proposal on the merger of 3 banks –Dena Bank, Vijaya Bank, and Bank of Baroda. A decision was taken during a recent meeting conducted in Mumbai to observe a 1-day strike on 26th December as a protest against the central government’s proposal regarding this merger proposal.
This information was released by the General Secretary of the All India Bank Employees Association, Venkatachalam, who is an important functionary in the above Federation.
