The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that there are prospects of medium rain in south Tamil Nadu and heavy rain in a few places.
The depression format which was located over the southeast Bay of Bengal has crossed the coast via the coastal districts of the northern coast and moved towards Kerala. So, there were widespread heavy rains heavily during this period in Chennai district, the northern coastal districts, and the delta districts.
In this situation, a new low-pressure zone has formed yesterday night (5th December) over the southeast Bay of Bengal and the adjacent Indian Ocean. This has led to the prospects of persistent northeast monsoon rains in Tamil Nadu.
Meanwhile, a cyclonic format and a low-pressure zone have developed over the Kanyakumari Ocean and the southeast Arabian Sea. Due to this, there are prospects of medium rains in the next 2 days in the south Tamil Nadu and heavy rains in a few places as per the Indian Meteorological Department.
Fishermen have been warned not to venture into the southeast Arabian Sea, Kanyakumari Sea, and the southeast Bay of Bengal
