On behalf of the postal department, online banking facility is being introduced for Post Office Bank savings account holders.
All the Post Offices throughout the country have been linked to ‘CBS’ (Core Banking System) in order to provide better quality services such as quicker transactions, expanding the Post Office Banking Services on par with the other banks, etc.
As the next phase of providing prompter service, CBS has introduced the net banking facility for the Post Office Savings Accounts Holders. Excluding the Branch Post Offices, the customers having savings accounts in all CBS Post Offices can apply to avail these online services.
The officials explained in this regard that the customers need to submit correct e-mail ID, mobile phone number, PAN Card, Address Proof, and CIF Id.
After the CBS link, the customers who open the new savings account, need not submit the KYC application.
By providing/entering the details of the mobile number, ATM card, SMS, the application for the banking services, the customer can start availing this online service. The customers can directly the visit the Post where they have the Post Office Savings Accounts and apply for the online banking facility.
