A coin of Rs. 100 with the image of former PM AB Vajpayee released

A coin of denomination Rs.100, bearing the image of the former India Prime Minister A. B. Vajpayee on one side was released today (Monday, 24th December).
The former Prime Minister and the senior leader of the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, passed away last August.
In order to commemorate and honour his memories, the coin of Rs. 100 was released.
In a special function organised today in Delhi, the present Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi released this new Rs. 100 coin bearing the image of the former Prime Minister Vajpayee on one side.
BJP National President Amit Shah, senior leader A. K. Advani, the central Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, and the Parliament (Lok Sabha) speaker Sumitra Mahajan participated in this event.
