Special camps organised for addition/deletion of names in the ration cards

Special camps are set to be organised in all the Wards of the Chennai Metro City for making corrections/additions/deletions in the ration cards and also to take up complaints regarding the PDS (Public Distribution System).
In a notification regarding this released by the state government of Tamil Nadu, it is mentioned:
The state government of Tamil Nadu has announced that monthly special grievance camps will be organised throughout Tamil Nadu on a ward-wise basis regarding the major issues of making corrections/additions/deletions in the smart family ration cars, complaints regarding the present PDS.
Accordingly, the special public grievance camp for receiving and solving the public complaints for the month of January is scheduled to be organised in the Chennai Metro City in all the 17 offices of the assistant commissioners on 19th January from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM.
The public can register their requirements for:
- Making corrections/additions/deletions/registering the mobile phone numbers in the smart ration cards
- Making complaints/comments regarding the performance of the present PDS and the quality of the essential items
- Complaints regarding the items sold in the private market and the related services
These complaints will be received, scrutinized, and corrective actions will be taken.
The smart ration card holders are strongly advised to avail this opportunity and address their requirements/suggestions/complaints.
