1st Volleyball National Club Tournament to be held in Chennai

The Chennai Spikers’ Volleyball Club in association with the Tamil Nadu State Volleyball Association and Volleyball Federation of India will hosted the 1st National Club Volleyball Tournament from March 18th to 24th in Chennai. In an official statement, J. Nadarajan, Organising Secretary, said, ‘All the men`s matches would be played under league-cum-knock out system while the women matches would be played under league basis.’
There are a total of 12 teams (eight men’s and four women’s) vying for the Rs. 8 lakh prize. The winners of the men’s tournament will qualify for the Asian Club Volleyball Championship in Iran in April this year. The winners of the women’s tournament will participate in the same Championship for women to be held in Vietnam in August.
