Three new industrial corridors planned

Three new Industrial Corridors have been announced by the Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram. One of the corridors will be between Chennai and Bangalore. The other from Bangalore to Mumbai. The third and biggest one is between Mumbai and Delhi.

The Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) is being planned for $90 billion. The plan for the three corridors is the biggest in the country’s history.
The DMIC will have seven new cities as part of the project, including two smart cities, one in Gujarat and one in Maharashtra.
