The price of the LPG cooking gas cylinders is revised on the 1st day of every month. There was a decreasing trend in this price over the last 3 months. However, now, there has been an increase in the prices of both the subsidized and the non-subsidised LPG cooking gas cylinders.

In an announcement released by the Indian Oil Corporation, it is mentioned that the above prices crease is based on the increasing price in the international market.

As per the latest revision, a subsidised 14.2 kg LPG cylinder costs Rs. 496.61 in Delhi. The price of the non-subsidised LPG cooking gas cylinder is Rs. 701.50. This price revision has come into effect from midnight with the dawn of Friday (at the end of Thursday).

12 LPG cooking gas cylinders are offered to the families in a year under subsidised prices. The process is that the buying customer will have to pay as per the existing market rate for the cylinder. The subsidy will be credited to the customer’s saving bank account later.

In case a family buys more than 12 cylinders in a year, they will need to pay the prevailing market rate for this excess cylinder being bought and no subsidy will be paid for this.
