Next one week temperature will be high in Chennai (TN Weatherman)

As expected the offshore winds picked up and Chennai is sizzling with a hot day from the land breeze. Must be hottest day of the year with out a doubt. Nungambakkam touches 36 C while Meenambakkam touches 38 C.

The outskirts of Chennai like Ambattur, Porur, Poonamalle, Meenambakkam all will have a real feel of 39 C right now. Sea breeze has reached the core city near the areas close to sea already and they have got respite while areas like Ambattur, Porur, Poonamalle, Meenambakkam will see sea breeze moving in by 2.00 - 2.30 pm
Next one week temperature will be in higher side in the Chennai and also in other parts of Tamil Nadu. Areas like Salem, Tiruttani, Vellore, Karur all likely to cross 40 C and some places will touch 41 C. Tiruppur, Erode, Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, Villupuram, Namakkal. Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar, Dindigul, Theni, Ariyalur, Perambalur too will see hot days with temp close to 39 C.
