Nutritional Food Scheme for anganwadi children

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa announced that 13 different kinds of food will be served to anganwadi children attending school in Tamil Nadu. The food will be part of the ‘Nutritional Food for Children’ scheme and the announcement was made in the Assembly.
The implementation of the project will start on Thursday with the students of the school run by the Corporation of Chennai in Nungambakkam. The programme will be in phases. The first phase will include 32 zones and others will be added gradually.
The announcement was witnessed by the Chennai Mayor Saidai S. Duraiswamy, the Commissioner and other senior officials.
