Disputes between Google and Amazon left Amazon Fire TV Stick owners disappointed, as they could not enjoy accessing YouTube on their Smart TV. There was a loophole to access YouTube which is to make use of web browser for video streaming. However, YouTube add was not compatible for the same. Well, worry not, the scenario is changing as Amazon and Google are set to mark an end to their fight and give their customers the best service.
According to the latest agreement they have arrived at, YouTube App will hand over all of the Amazon Fire TV devices and smart TVs of Fire TV Edition. Eventually, Amazon Prime Video will incorporate Chromecast Support which will then be accessible on Android TV. Furthermore, Amazon Fire TV shall also contain YouTube Kids and YouTube TV.
Coming on to the timeline of events, in a few months from now, YouTube applications shall be available on Amazon Fire TV. Following this, later in 2019, Amazon devices are to contain YouTube kids application. Also, in another few months, Chromecast Support will be incorporated on Prime video app. Also, the users can enjoy Amazon Prime Video on Android TV.
Details of the agreement were announced during a press meet jointly arranged by Amazon and Google. In his note about this, the Global Head of Products Partnership, YouTube, Mr. Heather Rivera says he feels overwhelmed to join hands with Amazon for the official launch of YouTube apps on their Fire Devices for customers across the world.
"We`re excited to bring the Prime Video app to Chromecast and Android TV devices, and to give our customers convenient access to the shows and movies they love," Andrew Bennett, Head of Worldwide Business Development for Prime Video, said in the press statement.
The two tech giants have come up with the idea of video streaming, it is still unclear whether YouTube would be made available on Amazon Smart Display.
