Chennai sees high temperatures

The temperature in Chennai and its surrounding areas has hit new highs for the month of March on Friday and Saturday. Normally, high temperatures are recorded from the month of April onwards. But this year, the sun has been beating down hard from the second week of March.
Friday’s temperature was 91.5 degrees Fahrenheit (33 degrees Celsius) and Saturday’s temperature was 91.7 degrees Fahrenheit (33.1 degrees Celsius). The Meteorological Department has said that there will be dry weather in the coming week, resulting in high temperatures again.
