With Chennai Surrounded by Red dots, its going to be awesome monsoonish like day. I wont be surprised if the rains continue even after the sun rises. Days like these are rare, enjoy them. Its going to be one of the best days in terms of weather for entire North TN.
One of the best days for other parts of Tamil Nadu too, most of districts have got some rains. Some places in Thanjavur would have recorded 100 mm rainfall too. Dharmapuri, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, Krishnagiri, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Pondy, ......the list is big all got decent rains. Its pouring here in Vellore non-stop.
I have never seen such rains in Vellore for long time. What a rain with such intensity and no visibility. Vellore got 166 mm and broke 100 year all time record for wettest august 24 hrs rainfall of 106 mm recorded on 8th August, 1909.
Bangalore will fall in path of the nw winds convergence. A good day can be expected there too.
