South Indian People Drama festival

A  South Indian People Drama Festival is set to be organized in Chennai Metro City from 2nd October to 6th October.

Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artistes Association, jointly with the Chennai Kerala Samaj, is organizing the South Indians Drama Festival at the Chennai Kerala Samajam from 2nd October to 6th October.

This South Indians Drama festival is supported by the Tamil Nadu State Government and the South Indian Cultural Centre – Thanjavur, and Cultural Centre, and the Department of Arts and Culture.

The festival starts with the Assembly of Artistes. The noted Karnatic Music Singer. T M Krishna will inaugurate this festival.

The leading Drama troupes from Tamil Nadu, including the Koothuppattarai, Chennai Arts Team, Marappachi, Perch, Shraddha, Stage Friends, Indianostaram, are set to participate. Apart from this, more than 32 Drama troops and 500 artistes from the states of Karnataka and Telangana will perform and enact plays in 5 languages.

The public can watch the performances free right from 10.00 AM to 9.00 PM.
