Ingredients
- Raw rice flour - 1 cup
- Salt - as required
- Ghee (Refined butter) - half-a-tea-spoon
- Thick milk extracted from coconut - 1 cup
- Thin coconut milk - 1 cup
- Milk - 1 cup
- Cardamom powder quarter-teaspoon
- Unrefined sugar (nattu sarkkarai)
- Water - half-a-cup
Instructions
- Take a wide vessel and add the raw rice flour, salt, and the ghee and mix thoroughly well.
- Add boiling water gradually and knead the flour mixture into a smooth soft dough just as done for making chapattis.
- Make small balls out of the kneaded dough.
- Take one of the balls and dissolve in water.
- Boil water and add the unrefined sugar - stir and make a smooth solution - strain the impurities and keep aside.
- Now, take a pan - add milk and the thin coconut milk and bring to a boil.
- Once the milk mix starts boiling, add the dough balls gradually. Mix well.
- Check that the balls get cooked - add the strained unrefined sugar solution. Boil for 5 minutes.
- Now add cardamom powder. Mix well.
- Switch off the stove. Now add the thick coconut milk - mix well!
