Students of classes 10, 11 and 12 have been writing their board examinations for a time duration of two and a half hours now.
The latest news is these students would get a time duration of 3 hours to write their board examinations for 2020. On Tuesday, 22nd October 2019, DGE extended the duration of the board examinations by 30 minutes. The director of government examinations, C. Usha Rani revealed that the time was extended after getting many requests from the students.
The board examinations for class 12 would be held from2nd March to 24th March 2020 and board examinations for class 11 would be from 4th March to 26th March. It must be taken into account that brad exams for class 10 would be held from 27th March to 13th April 2020.
The important point is in the earlier pattern the total marks for the students who wrote their class 11 and class 12 board examinations were 1200 and each subject marks was 200. The total marks were later reduced to 600 and the students wrote their board examinations for 100 marks for the subjects for a time of 2 and a half hours. It is brought out that many students complained that two and half-hours were not enough. Hence the time duration was increased.
