The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that as the cyclone ‘Maha’ has stabilized and located over the Arabian Sea, it will not affect Tamil Nadu in any way.
Chennai Meteorological Centre Director Puviyarasan informed that there are prospects of mild rain over the next 3 days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and there are no prospects for heavy rain.
The Chennai Metro City will remain cloudy.
The low-pressure which formed a few days ago over the Kanyakumari Ocean area has intensified into a strong depression zone and transformed into a cyclone day-before-yesterday. This cyclone was named ‘Maha’.
In this situation, the cyclone Maha was situated ocean adjacent to the Kavaratti islands of Lakhdiv. So, the fishermen must not venture into the sea in the Kanyakumari to Arabian Sea zones. Also, as there are prospects of a depression zone over the Andaman Sea on 4th November, fishermen are warned not to enter this area as well.
