It will be mandatory from January 2020 that the GSTR-1 details must be submitted before the 10th of every month.
Note that it is proposed to levy a penalty of Rs. 200 for failure to furnish the GSTR-1 particulars before the stipulated date of 11th of every month.
Further, in case the above is not furnished before 20th of the month, a penalty of Rs. 500 is being levied.
As per the current procedure, in case of failure to submit the GSTR-3B, it must be done before the next 15 days. Note that a reminder will be sent through E-mail or SMS to the given mobile phone number.
If there is a further delay to furnish GSTR-3B, please note that ‘BEST JUDGMENT ASSESSMENT ORDER’ will be sent to pay the interest as well along with the penalty levied the previous month.
So, it is requested that the traders must submit the trade details before the 5th of each month and thereby avoid payment of penalty while cooperating with our department.
