Yoga centre and gymnasium in Anna Nagar Tower Park

An amount of Rs 11.8 lakhs would be spent in construction of completely covered yoga centre and a gymnasium for women in Anna Nagar Tower Park in Chennai. For this purpose, tenders have been floated by the GCC or Greater Chennai Corporation.
This area falls in ward 100 of zone 8 is known. Soon the residents present in and around Anna Nagar Tower Park would be getting these and it would be superb.
For the development of his constituency, funds have been made available from the local Member of Legislative Assembly or MLA funds. GCC has been providing gym equipment in many parks across Chennai and its extended areas. These parks equipped with gym equipment have been superb for many citizens who do not have time or money to pay the fees for gym or have inclination etc. Various gym equipment provided by GCC at the parks are exercise cycle and adjustable bench press etc.
It was later revealed by a senior official belonging to the Anna Nagar zone that there has been huge demand from the nearby residents to install gym equipment in the park. He explained about the construction of gym for women and said it would be opened at the top and covered at the sides and there would be adequate green cover for the women.
The gymnasium would have atleast 6 equipments for the benefit of women. The senior official added that yoga centre would be constructed in such a way that it could be used even in the monsoon. Point is GI sheet roofing would be there in the yoga centre. This Anna Nagar Tower Park gets many visitors between 8 am and 11 am and after 4 pm and there are many other proposals for adding amenities at this park. The shortage of funds has been the cause for the delay in executing of the proposals.
