On the occasion of Kaanum Pongal, 480 special buses to be operated on 17th January!

The occasion of Pongal being the most important festival of the year for the Tamil communities, it is traditional to enjoy over a period of 3 days - especially, on the day of ‘Kaanum Pongal’, it is traditional for people to visit places including the tourist spots and popular pastime places along with the family and friends and thus, there will be huge crowds of the public on the road!
In order to manage this prospect on the day of ‘Kannum Pongal’ on 17th January this year, 480 special buses will be operated in addition to the usual.
The Director of the Chennai Metro City Transport Corporation, K. Ganesan, has announced this news. Special buses will be operated to Anna Square, Vandalur, VGP, Kovalam, Mamallapuram, and Kishkinta.
