GCC: 3000 staff deployed for spraying disinfectants!

The Commissioner of Greater Chennai Corporation, Prakash, distributed 208 disinfectant sprayers to undertake the coronavirus preventive activity with the Health Department staff in the areas under the jurisdiction of Greater Chennai Corporation.
The training for proper washing of hands is being conducted at the public gathering places on behalf of GCC. Further, cleaning with disinfectants is also in progress.
The bit-notices on awareness about coronavirus are being distributed to the public.
Further, to undertake the coronavirus prevention activities, 200 disinfectant sprayers (North region - 66, Central region - 66, and South region - 68), 1 butterfly vehicle disinfectant sprayer, 7 smoke-spreading vehicles for a total of 208 disinfectant machineries were distributed by GCC Commissioner Prakash yesterday (Thursday, 2oth March) at the Ripon Buildings.
After this, GCC commissioner Prakash shared with the press:
The above latest hi-tech disinfectant equipment has been procured and given to the GCC regional offices, etc. to undertake the coronavirus prevention activities by spraying disinfectants in the places/building where public gather, ATMs, Urban Primary Health Centres, urban society hospitals.
By deploying 3000 staff of the Health Department, disinfectants will be sprayed in all the regions for successive 2 weeks both in the mornings and evenings.
Deploying sanitary personnel who analyse mosquito-worms making house-to-house visits and enquiring /checking whether there are symptoms of cold, cough, or fever, data will be collected and registered.
As appealed by the Tamil Nadu State Government, the citizens must refrain from visiting public gathering spots, all temples/churches/mosques and religious places, and travel.’
