Tamil Nadu Government: Rs. 1000 per ration card from 2 April!

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that Rs. 1000 will be given to the family ration card holders from 2 April 15 April.

As 144 is imposed the state, the Chief Minister E. announced that for the benefit of all the rice-ration card holders, Rs. 1000 will be offered as a relief!

In order to offer Rs. 1000 each the 1.94 ration card holders, a fund of Rs. 20148068000 and for free distribution of rice, sugar, pulse, and oil, a fund of R%s. 1731075000 have been allocated for a total expenditure of Rs. 2188 Crores!

Subsequently, the state government of Tamil Nadu has announced that the ration-card holders can get rice, pulse, oil, and sugar from 2 April.

In this regard, the registrar of the Cooperative Associations Govindaraj has sent a circular to all the regional joint registrars:

‘It has been planned to complete the ditribbution from 2 to 15 April. So, the cooperative societies must grant a daily allowance of Rs. 200 must be given to the staff/employees in all Fair Price Shops under the control of the Registrar of the Cooperative Associations to meet their travel and other incidental expenses.

Further, the cooperative associations must also procure the masks, disinfectants required for the Fair price Shops, etc., and distribute the same.

This activity must be closely monitored by the Cooperative Registrar, Chennai Region, all the Regional Joint registrars, and  the Managing Directors of  the Wholesale Storage Offices.’
