With the prevailing lockdown imposition extended recently until 3rd May, the Darshan of Lord Venkateswara at Tirupathi temple are banned for the devotees!
As a measure to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, Darshan for the devotees was cancelled at the Tirupathi temple from 20th March.
In a similar decision, Darshans have been cancelled for the devotees all the temples under the administration of TTD (Thirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam). However, the poojas, prayers, and other religious events are continuing to be performed as required by the Hindu Agama Regulations.
In this situation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the order for the extension of the lockdown until 3rd May.
Subsequently, Darshans for the devotees have been cancelled in all the temples administered by TTD until 3rd May.
In the State of Andhra, 473 persons have been confirmed with coronavirus infection so far. These patients are being treated in the nearest government hospitals at their respective places.
In the state of Andhra, Guntur district leads with 109 infected persons. In Kurnool district, 91 are infected and in Krishna, 44 and there have been infections in some other districts as well.
Until now, 9 lives have been lost due to coronavirus infection. However, no infection has been reported so far in the Andhra state districts of Kakulam and Vijayanagaram.
