TN Government Order: Rs. 86 Crores allotted; Rs. 1000 assistance for 14 categories of workers!

Originating in the city of Wuhan in China, coronavirus was first identified on 1st December last year. Presently, the raging coronavirus pandemic has spread fast, far and wide to over 209 countries all over the world!
Presently, it is spreading in India as well - so far, 18,829 persons have been confirmed with coronavirus infection! 601 lives have been lost. 3,286 persons have recovered.
The State of Tamil Nadu is in the 5th place in the list of states maximum affected with coronavirus infection. 17 lives have been lost in the state. The number of people affected with coronavirus infection has increased to 1520. The number of persons recovered has increased to 457.
Both the central and state governments have been initiating various activities to contain the spreading of the raging coronavirus pandemic. Meanwhile, one of the measures of preventive action, lockdown imposition throughout the country, has been extended until 3rd May.
With the above developments, people have confined to their houses! Considering this situation, the state government of Tamil Nadu has been proving the necessary relief with the supply of essential items, financial assistance, and other concessions.
In this respect, the state government of Tamil Nadu had earlier announced Rs. 1000 financial assistance to certain categories including fishermen, cracker-industry workers, transgenders, and cinema industry workers. Now, the order for this grant has been released officially by the state government of Tamil Nadu.
In this order, it is mentioned that Rs. 86 crores have been allotted for the above financial assistance to 8.6 Lakhs persons who have registered with the Department.
