Notification 24/2020 Chennai Metro City Transport Corporation: Admission to ITI courses!

The Industrial Training Institute, located in Chennai Metro City Chrompet, has been functioning on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Chennai Metro City Transport Corporation with approval from the Central Government for courses on Mechanic Motor Vehicle (MMV).
So far, 1207 students have been provided with high-quality training here. Priority is given to the students who study here by the Transport Corporations for appointment as trainees.
A large number of students who completed their ITI courses in this Institute are presently employed in the well known public sector and private sector transport corporations.
At the initial stages, this institute offered only less number of seats, that too, with priority for admission given to the heirs of the State Transport Corporation Employees. However, with each passing year, and from the year 2007, apart from the quota allotted to the heirs of the Transport Corporation Employees, the balance seats are available for the outsider candidates. 72 seats are available every academic year.
As such, for this academic year (2020), applications are invited from the students who have passed 10th Standard for joining this ITI course. The duration of the course is 2 years. For obtaining the applications, send a request by post to
