When the lockdown conditions were imposed throughout the country from March as a preventive measure against the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic, the world-famous Thirumalai-Tirupathi temple had also to be closed and the devotees were not allowed inside the temple. However, the prayers and the various poojas and ceremonies were conducted in the temple as per schedule
Later, the devotees were allowed inside the temple from 1st June with certain restrictions and regulations.
However, as the coronavirus did not subside and continued raging, the devotees were again banned from entering the temple. Meanwhile, the Brahmotsavam and other festivals and ceremonies are being continued to be performed in the temple.
