An announcement has been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the written examinations conducted for the recruitment of Forest Officers.
Applications are invited ONLINE from the eligible and interested candidates.

Name of the written examination: Indian Forest Service Examination
Total Vacancies: 110
Age Limit:
Candidates MUST be in the age group 21 - 32 as of 1st August 2021
Academic Qualifications:
Candidates must be graduates in the faculties of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Agriculture, Forestry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, or Engineering.
Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be selected based on performed in the written examination conducted by UPSC. The written examinations will be conducted in 2 Phases - Preliminary examination and Main Examination. Preliminary written examination is scheduled to be conducted online in August.
Preliminary online examination centres in the State of Tamil Nadu:
- Chennai
- Coimbatore
- Madurai
- Trichy
Application Fee:
Rs. 100/-. This MUST be paid online. No application fee for the categories of candidates from SC/ST, and differently-abled.
