In its latest notification, the Thirumalai-Tirupathi Devasthanam Board (TTD), it is mentioned:
“The resurgent coronavirus pandemic has been spreading quite fast and wide in the State of Andhra!
More than 2000 citizens per day are infected with coronavirus!
The resurgent coronavirus has been spreading at its fastest in the district of Chittoor!
Because of the above developments, Free Darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara at the Tirupathi Temple was cancelled a few days ago!
Only the devotees with the Rs. 300/- Darshan Tickets were allowed to have Darshan!”
In the above situation, devotees have been banned to have Darshan in the Srinivasapuram Kalyana Venkateswara Swami Temple, and Tirupathi Kodhandarama Swami Temple, both under the TTD administration!
However, the Daily routine of rituals will continue to be performed but without the presence of the devotees!
Similarly, during the ensuing celebration of the ‘Sri Rama Navami festival, set to be celebrated from 21st April to 23rd April, the festival will be celebrated without the admission of devotees!
Today (Monday, 19th April) is the day of the annual ‘Pushpayagam’to be performed. On the 23rd Day, the festival of the Crowning of Lord Rama (Rama Pattabhishekham) will be performed. IT HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED THAT DEVOTEES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THESE 2 DAYS EITHER!
Due to the raging resurgent coronavirus pandemic, 20000 tickets of Rs. 300/- Darshan tickets were being sold. Presently, TTD has announced further that this has been reduced by 5000 tickets per day – so, only 15000 tickets of Rs. 300/- Darshan will be sold presently!
