Samsung India is set to launch 200 odd new models across different categories of its products this year alone. The last three months has seen the launch of new smart phones that include Galaxy S4, Galaxy Fame, Galaxy Young, Galaxy Star, Galaxy Grand Quattro, Galaxy Mega, Galaxy Tab 2 and Galaxy Pocket Neo, along with the Rex series, along with launches of other products such as 20 new flat panel television launches, 30 new models of air-conditioners and refrigerators.
‘Such frequent launches every month helps to create new segments in the market and cater to the consumers` upgradation demand. These new launches help consumers to upgrade as well as bring in first-time buyers… The company has even started localizing some of its global flagship products for India. For instance, Samsung developed a dual-sim version of the Galaxy Grand model specifically for India, considering dual-sim phones account for more than 60% of the Indian market’, said Samsung officials.
