Punjab girl is Google Science Fair finalist

15 year old Srishti Asthana of Millennium School in Mohali, Punjab has won a place as one of the 15 finalists in the Google Science Fair 2013. Srishti’s project was `Solar Light Assisted nanoZnO Photo Catalytic Mineralization - a Green Technique for the Degradation of Detergents. The project was chosen among thousands of entries from 120 countries worldwide.
The finalists will showcase their project in front of a panel in September at the Google Mountain View Headquarters. The winner of the competition wins a trip to the Galapagos Islands with National Geographic Expeditions and a $50,000 scholarship.
