3 Lakhs citizens apply for new family ration card in Tamil Nadu!

The number of citizens applying for new ration card has been increasing each passing day!
Around 15000 citizens apply ONLINE daily for new family ration card.
A senior Civil Supply Department official shared in this regard that 10000 to 12000 new family ration cards are being distributed daily!
As the new government has insisted that the new family ration card must be supplied within 15 days after application, the related work has been in earnest progress.
It may be noted that earlier the time limit set for processing the new ration card was up to 60 days! However, it has now been reduced to 15days!
It is learnt that 5 lakhs citizens have applied for new ration card as at present!
The Civil Department officials have directed their staff to expedite the process of releasing the new ration cards.
