Moderate rains in Chennai from early morning - Weather forecast in Chennai!!

Chennai residents in important localities such as Saidapet, Egmore, Kodambakkam, Koyambedu, Mylapore, Broadway etc would have woken up with moderate rains today. The truth is that rains have made these localities much cooler now. The heat waves plus the atmospheric air circulation has been responsible for the moderate rains in Chennai in the early morning. It is now said that due these above said factors there would be rains along with thunder in the coastal districts, districts near to Western Ghats etc.
Beginning from today till 18th August, coastal districts, districts like Theni, Dindigul, Tiruppur, Tenkasi etc would receive light rains. On 19th August 2021, there would be moderate rains in the coastal districts plus in the Karaikal etc. Chennai city would be normally cloudy for the next 48 hours and there would be moderate rains with thunder in few places in the city. This was according to the Regional Meteorological Centre.
