Chennai to receive rains and thunderstorms - Initial ORANGE warning given to these TN districts

The depression has formed over Bay of Bengal now and due to this there would be heavy to very heavy rains in the coastal districts belonging to Tamil Nadu.
Districts like Kanniyakumari, Nagapattinam,Tirunelveli, Mayiladuthurai and Ramanathapuram have been issued initial orange warning by Regional Meteorological Centre or RMC. These districts would be receiving heavy rains in the next 48 hours.
It is learnt that the depression that has formed over the central parts of south Bay of Bengal has moved westwards and now lies over southwest Bay of Bengal off Sri Lankan Coast.
Deputy Director General of Meteorology Mr, S. Balachandran expressed his views regarding rains. He spoke about how heavy to moderate rainfall in the north coastal districts and southern parts of TN would continue in the next few days. An Orange warning has been issued. He mentioned that the depression formed near the Bay of Bengal would move westwards further and bring heavy rainfall to few places over Tamil Nadu. For the next 2days, Delta districts would also receive heavy rains.
It is worthy to mention that the fishermen have been warned against venturing into the sea along south-west Bay of Bengal off TN coast and south Andhra coast.
There would be moderate rains with thunderstorms in some places in Chennai in the next 24 hours. Point is that the maximum temperature would be around 32 degree Celsius and minimum around 26 degrees Celsius. There would be moderate to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms for the next 2 days in the districts of Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpet, Villupuram, Thanjavur, Pudukottai, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sivagangai etc.
Isolated places over Kanniyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi would receive heavy to very heavy rains on 31st October. There would be heavy rains in isolated places over the districts of Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, Sivagangai, Tenkasi, Theni, Madurai and Dindigul etc.
