All citizens in the country are being given individual Aadhar cards! However, the given Aadhar number can be used by anyone! Here are some guidelines to prevent this:
Aadhar has a 12-digit exclusive number.
Aadhar card has been increasingly given additional roles related to most government-oriented procedures for different tasks! In the present period, the Aadhar card and details are asked for by both public sector and private sector organisations as an important document./
For example, opening a bank account, applying for jobs, and even the procedure by the employing private sector and various other avenues as well!
In other words, right from admitting patients in hospitals to depositing money in the PPF (Public Provident Fund) Account, an Aadhar card is the primary requirement!
Further, even for applying and processing loans from various public sectors, banks, non-banking financial organisations, Aadhar is essential!
As such, NOTE THAT WE MUST NEVER DHARE ADDHAR NUMBER WITH OTHERS! Only through sharing this, there are chances for misuse!
Here is the procedure to avoid such misuses:
Visit the government’s official UIDAI website.
- Select the option - Aadhar Services.
- Click the option - Aadhar Authentication History
- Enter Aadhar number.
- Click OTP (One-Time-Password).
- OTP will be received on the registered cell phone number.
- Enter this OTP and click the ok button.
- Now, your Aadhar history will appear.
- In case u suspects that someone had misused your Aadhar Number, contact the UIDAI Customer Service Centre Number 1947 or email help@uidai.gov.in detailing your complaint.
- Action will be initiated.
PLEASE NOTE – to DO ABOVE PROCEDURE, YOU MUST HAVE LINKED YOUR AADHAR CARD WITH YOUR PAN CARD (Permanent Account Number for Income Tax). Only then, you will be able to do the above procedure!
