The system of collecting monthly charges for the power consumption would be implemented soon in the state of Tamil Nadu. This was stated by the electricity minister Mr. V. Senthil Balaji yesterday at Coimbatore. He then shed light on the efforts taken to fill the 56000 vacancies in Tamil Nadu.
It must be taken into account that there is also a 5% vacancy of staff involved in recording electricity readings in the households. The minister assured that once these vacancies are filled up then the electricity bills would be generated once a month as promised in the Assembly elections.
Information is that the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Stalin has been implementing the schemes by considering the total 234 constituencies as his own. Truth is that in a few months the chief minister has fulfilled 202 out of 505 poll premises.
The electricity minister was busy taking part in the ‘Makkal Sabha’ events that took place in the wards 85 to 100 in around 17 places. He received many petitions from the public. As per the minister, many had given petitions regarding the old age pension in the district. He made it clear that efforts would be taken to grant pension to those who have applied and to those who were left out.
