Student admission increased in Govt Schools than last year

Chief Educational Officer, V.C. Rameswara Murugan has mentioned that one Lakhs students than last year have been admitted in the Govt. Schools. The reason for this is the State Government has started giving free text books, notebooks and foot wears. 

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is giving great importance to education. Because of this she is giving free text books, note books, foot wears, bus pass, color pencils, crayons and school bags to the students. Free cycle is being given to Plus 1 students while the Plus 2 students are given free laptops. Because of these free schemes, large numbers of students are increasing in schools. 

Chief Educational Officer, V.C. Rameswara Murugan while speaking about this said, “The Government  has been giving free books, note books, school bags, geometry boxes, bus pass and atlas. This is given to the students on the first day of the opening of the schools. 

Moreover we have began English sections. At the end of the last year a meeting was convened. The officials of 837 primary schools in Tamil Nadu participated in this meeting. They were given instructions that how they should increase the admissions of the students. Because of this, one Lakhs students than last year have joined in the first standard. This is a happy thing.”
