- Moderate rains cover Chennai city and bulk of the heavy ones are in Southern Suburbs to Pondy belt. Steady rains will be seen in City at rate of 5-15 mm/hr intensity rains and variable at times. Cheyyur - Kalpakkam belt is getting smashed with good rains.
- Action (heavy rains) to shift to Pondy to Delta belt with convergence shifting down. Chennai will see on and off rains with as usual mid-night to morning will be favorable for clouds build up. Right now heavy rains are happening in the Southern Suburbs of Chennai

Good balancing rains happened in southern parts of Chennai, ECR belt, chengalpet regions which missed yesterday rains.
Next low the one which is expected to give peak rains of this NEM season from Nagai to Chennai will commence from 10/11. We hardly have 1-2 days before the next action picks up. Before going there, today heavy rains are expected from Pondy - Cuddalore - Nagai - Ramanathapuram strecth and Pull effect rains possible in South / West TN and Kerala. Overall another massive day awaits for TN.
