Extreme Rainfall Warning - Deep Depression will cross coast close to Sriharikota - North Chennai belt around tomorrow noon to evening.

Massive beautiful ball of dense clouds has formed in the Centre area of the Depression. The outer bands are falling over Chennai right now. Once the centre ball filled with convection nears Chennai, the rains will be with very intense rain rate. Rains in KTC can be expected till noon. There after there will be gradual reduction in rains.
Wind speeds will be in the range of around 50 km/hr at the time of crossing. Winds will not be major threat but the heavy rains which is expected to fall in short period of time will be the threat.
