Indian Meteorological Centre has informed that there are NO PROSPECTS for the prevailing low-pressure zone formed over Andaman and adjacent areas to intensify.
However, the Indian Meteorological Department has informed that the cyclonic format prevailing over the interior Tamil Nadu may lead to prospects for rains in Tamil Nadu for the next 4 days from 15th November to 18th November. There are prospects for widespread mild to medium rain in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
A warning has been issued with prospects for very heavy rains in the 4 districts of Kanyakumari, Nilgiri, Dindigul, Tirupur, and then a warning for heavy rain has been issued to the districts of Erode, Thirupathur, Vellore, Thiruvannamalai, Ranippettai, Kanchipuram, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Coimbatore, Salem, Dharmapuri, Cuddalore, Ariyalur, Perambalur, and Mayiladuthurai, Puducherry and Karaikkal.
As regards Chennai, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy for the next 48 hours and there are prospects for mild to medium rain in a few places in Chennai Metro City.
With the above weather situation, the Indian Meteorological Department has released an announcement. In this, it is mentioned that there are NO PROSPECTS for the prevailing low-pressure zone over Andaman to intensify. Further, it may form into a deep depression zone drifting towards North Tamil Nadu!
