Arvind Swami was the heart throb of many young girls in the 1990s. He made his debut in Thalapathy as a young collector which had superstars Rajnikanth and Mammmootty in the cast. This film was directed by Manirathnam. He later donned the lead role in the film Roja which was also directed by Manirathnam. After acting in numerous Tamil films, he quit acting due to various personal problems. Now, he had recently made a comeback in the Tamil film Kadal directed by Manirathnam. His charm is still there. Before his Sabbath, he had also acted in a couple of Hindi films including Priyadarshan`s Hindi film `Saat Rang Ke Sapne` opposite Juhi Chawla. The film was produced by Amitabh Bachchan and it did not do well at box office. His last Hindi was `Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya` (2000), which failed to garner much attention.
Now there is news that he is going to act in a Hindi film to be directed by Bejoy Nambiar. "We met him and are in talks with him regarding a project that I am going to produce. He has liked it. But it is all too early to talk about," Nambiar told reporters. Though the actor has liked the script, he is yet to sign on the dotted line.
